Radiant Corporate Sustainability
Operation Overview

The World’s Most Customer-Centric Optical Solution Provider

Radiant Opto-Electronics Corporation was established in July 1995, with its headquarters located in the Kaohsiung Technology Industrial Park in Taiwan. The company is founded on the principles of optical design, independent mold manufacturing, and high-efficiency mass production. Radiant Opto-Electronics' development strategy, known as 'Dual Engine Evolution,' aims to strengthen its core competencies in the design, molding, and manufacturing processes of optical products through two engines "independent enhancement" and "external investment and acquisitions."

In the future, Radiant Opto-Electronics will integrate the research and development capabilities of NILT and Nanocomp to develop new applications beyond the backlight and frontlight display markets. This will allow the company to penetrate into new customer bases and niche markets, entering the field of meta-optical components. Targeting five major customer bases "consumer electronics, automotive applications, biomedical diagnostics, augmented reality, and meta-optics," the company will offer meta-optical components such as 3D sensing, AR waveguide lenses, and lenses. Radiant Opto-Electronics continues to serve as an important manufacturing partner for customers in high-end optical solutions, offering one-stop services including design, molding, and mass production.

Imformation Security Management

Implement Information Security Policies

With the rapid evolution of information technology and the widespread use of networks and various information applications, information security faces severe challenges. In particular, external malicious attacks may lead to risks such as data breaches, ransomware, and operational disruptions, potentially causing significant losses to the Company. Radiant Opto-Electronics upholds four major visions: "Strengthen the knowledge of personnel, prevent data leakage, implement daily maintenance operations, and ensure service availability." The organization promotes an information security management system within the organization to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets, thereby ensuring sustainable business operations.

In terms of information security governance, the head of the Group Information Department serves as the highest-ranking information security officer at Radiant Opto-Electronics. The Company has obtained ISO 27001:2022 certification for its information security management system, effectively implementing the group-wide information security policy to protect customer data and corporate intellectual property, and to strengthen the Company’s capability to respond to information security incidents. In 2024, there were no major information security incidents at Radiant Opto-Electronics.

Information Security Committee Organization

In 2023, Radiant Opto-Electronics established the Information Security Committee to ensure that information security-related policies align with the Company's strategic development, coordinate the necessary resources for information security initiatives, and effectively implement security objectives and measures. The Information Security Committee shall hold a "Management Review Meeting" once a year and may convene ad hoc meetings as needed. Each year, through internal and external audits, we ensure that our operational practices comply with regulations and conducts regular reviews and corrections.

Information Security Risk Impact and Response Strategies

After identifying and assessing the information security risks, the information department immediately implements preventive measures to strengthen the protection capacity of information security through the intelligent application of software and hardware systems. The expectation is to eliminate threats in the shortest possible time in order to ensure that the Corporation can maintain normal operations.

Information Security Risk and Vulnerability Protection

Radiant Opto-Electronics has established control strategies and practices to address the financial impact of information security risks and vulnerabilities. To strengthen group-wide information security controls, Radiant Opto-Electronics has implemented a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) mechanism to enhance identity verification security. Employees who identify potential information security risks are also required to contact the Information Security Team and inform their immediate supervisor.

As most of the information systems supporting Radiant Opto-Electronics' group-wide operations are housed in the Kaohsiung plant's data center, ensuring continuous system service is critically important. Therefore, key systems within the plant adopt a multi-server mutual backup mechanism and are also backed up at different off-site data centers. Together with data backups for critical servers, services can be restored within a short period when necessary, reducing the risk of operational disruptions.
