Radiant Opto-Electronics Corporation incorporates environmentally friendly practices into its product development and design process from the very beginning. This includes the use of low-pollution materials and the reuse of recycled content. Whether by reducing the use of hazardous substances during manufacturing, improving energy and resource efficiency, minimizing waste generation, or strengthening pollution prevention efforts, the company takes comprehensive consideration of the environmental impact throughout the entire product life cycle. Even after products are shipped, a complete packaging recycling mechanism is in place. Radiant Opto-Electronics Corporation works closely with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to pursue more sustainable business development together.
Green Design
Recycled Material Verification Program” into the Design Process
Leveraging its core competencies, Radiant Opto-Electronics continues to work closely with customers to develop a diverse range of thin-form products. Radiant Opto-Electronics has launched a "Recycled Material Verification Program," prioritizing the use of recycled plastics in mass production and incorporating recycled materials into the "Design Process" to effectively reduce raw materials at the source. We will also strengthen the use of recycled materials and continue to optimize the thinning technology to effectively reduce the consumption generated by transportation during manufacturing process.
Radiant Opto-Electronics continues to advance the use of recycled materials in product responsibility and innovation. According to statistics, the total material usage in 2025 amounted to 5,025,575 kg. Among this, through the ongoing implementation of the “Recycled Material Verification Program,” a total of 110,186.86 kg of renewable materials were used, accounting for approximately 2.19% of the materials used in major products. The total amount of non-renewable materials used was approximately 4,915,388.14 kg.
Energy saving through Product Design
Radiant Opto-Electronics Corporation incorporates environmental friendliness, the use of low-pollution materials, and the reuse of recycled materials into our product development and design process from the very beginning. This includes the use of raw materials, improving energy efficiency, the thinning of products, and packaging and shipping final products. We collaborate with our customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to pursue a more sustainable operational development. Radiant Opto-Electronics Corporation is transitioning from a linear economy model to a circular economy model to achieve the reuse of waste resources. This transition involves using technology to give new value to waste materials.
Radiant Lighting
Radiant Opto-Electronics officially established its "Lighting Products" division. Each lighting fixture represents a deep exploration of light, a commitment to environmental sustainability and energy conservation, and an interpretation of aesthetic living. Starting in 2024, Radiant Opto-Electronics Lighting Division will officially launch its "Proprietary Brand Lighting Fixtures" and establish the "Radiant Exhibition Center" at the Forward-Looking Innovation Building in Kaohsiung Cianjhen Technology Industrial Park. With a focus on soft lighting, high quality, energy efficiency, healthy illumination, and intelligent control as core values, the division aims to leverage core technologies to provide practical products that also possess aesthetic value, thereby enhancing the quality of life.
Radiant Opto-Electronics leverages its core competencies to develop a diverse range of energy-efficient lighting products. In addition to obtaining international safety certifications such as UL (Underwriters Laboratories Inc.), ETL (Electrical Testing Laboratories), and CE (Conformité Européenne), the products have also received safety certification from the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) in Taiwan. Furthermore, they have been certified by the Design Lights Consortium (DLC) for energy efficiency and have obtained the energy-saving label certification in Taiwan. Moreover, at the end of 2025, it secured the Taiwan MIT (Made in Taiwan) Smile Mark, thereby fully emphasizing its local production in Taiwan and its adherence to high-quality standards.
In 2025, the lighting products business unit completed the application for the energy-saving product label for its flat-panel luminaires, achieving UGR<19, low flicker, no blue-light hazard, and no photobiological hazard. We will proactively continue to develop a more diversified range of products and obtain Energy Label Certification. Over 65 invention patents and 28 design patents have been filed—making light not only a means to illuminate spaces, but also an art form that enhances spatial quality and promotes sustainable energy savings.
