Radiant Corporate Sustainability
Green Services

Radiant Opto-Electronics Corporation incorporates environmentally friendly practices into its product development and design process from the very beginning. This includes the use of low-pollution materials and the reuse of recycled content. Whether by reducing the use of hazardous substances during manufacturing, improving energy and resource efficiency, minimizing waste generation, or strengthening pollution prevention efforts, the company takes comprehensive consideration of the environmental impact throughout the entire product life cycle. Even after products are shipped, a complete packaging recycling mechanism is in place. Radiant Opto-Electronics Corporation works closely with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to pursue more sustainable business development together.

Green Design

Material Saving Design in Products

Leveraging its core competencies, Radiant Opto-Electronics continues to work closely with customers to develop a diverse range of thin-form products. In 2024, Radiant Opto-Electronics has launched a recycled material verification program, prioritizing the use of recycled plastics in mass production and incorporating recycled materials into the design process to effectively reduce raw materials at the source. We will also strengthen the use of recycled materials, and continue to optimize the thinning technology to effectively reduce the energy consumption generated by the transportation during manufacturing process through various means.

Energy-saving in Product design

Radiant Opto-Electronics has developed a new packaging sample: a magnetic board that can fully replace the use of vacuum formed boxes. The board has been coated using a special wrapping technique and unique material. This allows the magnetic suction plate to enter a clean room, and the backlight module is able to be fixed onto the board through a thin film using magnetic suction. The board is downward compatible, and can be used with backlight modules of different sizes. It can be shared and widely used, and is available for recycling.

Due to the simple structure of the magnetic panel, it only requires cleaning with a roller before entering the cleanroom, significantly reducing energy and resource consumption and cutting cleaning time by over 95%.

Energy saving through Product Design

Radiant Opto- Electronics Corporation optimizes light through micro-structured design of light guide film (LGF), LED reflector cavities, and local dimming technology. This results in significantly reduced power consumption and improved display quality. Developed light guide film technologies for light guide plates. These technologies are designed to meet customer needs by improving module luminance, reducing power consumption, and increasing product lifetime. The optical design technology reduces the brightness of LEDs in local dark screen areas, which results in improved dynamic contrast and grayscale levels of the display screen. Ultimately, this reduces the numbers of LEDs required and lowers power consumption.

【Radiant Lighting】

In 2011, Radiant Opto-Electronics officially established its "Lighting Products" division. Each lighting fixture represents a deep exploration of light, a commitment to environmental sustainability and energy conservation, and an interpretation of aesthetic living. Starting in 2024, Radiant Opto-Electronics Lighting Division will officially launch its "Proprietary Brand Lighting Fixtures" and establish the "Radiant Exhibition Center" at the Forward-Looking Innovation Building in Cianjhen Technology Industrial Park. With a focus on soft lighting, high quality, energy efficiency, and healthy illumination as core values, the division aims to leverage core technologies to provide practical products that also possess aesthetic value, thereby enhancing the quality of life.

Radiant Opto-Electronics leverages its core competencies to develop a diverse range of energy-efficient lighting products. In addition to obtaining international safety certifications such as UL (Underwriters Laboratories Inc.), ETL (Electrical Testing Laboratories), and CE (Conformité Européenne), the products have also received safety certification from the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) in Taiwan. Furthermore, they have been certified by the Design Lights Consortium (DLC) for energy efficiency and have obtained the energy-saving label certification in Taiwan. In the pursuit of crafting each unique lighting product with care, over 65 invention patents and 28 design patents have been filed—making light not only a means to illuminate spaces, but also an art form that enhances spatial quality and promotes sustainable energy savings.
