At the start of 2024, Radiant Opto-Electronics, in continued partnership with the Radiant Education Foundation, assisted Weiwuying (the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts) in renewing its public piano, which had been in service for seven years. This instrument, which accompanied countless travelers, children, and music lovers, accumulated the city's emotions and memories and has now been honorably retired. Radiant once again invested resources to purchase a new piano, composing a "new movement for the public piano" for the city. This ensures that the shared musical experience and warm memories will continue, allowing every touch of the keys to once again light up life.

In addition to renewing the public piano, Radiant Opto-Electronics will also co-host a Retired Piano String Upcycling Workshop with Weiwuying. The dismantled strings will be transformed into handicrafts and souvenirs through creative design and artistic expression. This act of regeneration not only extends the instrument's life but also allows the public to cherish the city's musical memories in a new form. At the same time, Radiant hopes to join hands with the venue to implement the spirit of ESG in practice, fostering a circular coexistence of art, the environment, and creativity within the city.

As a local enterprise deeply rooted in Kaohsiung with its origins in optoelectronics ("light"), Radiant Opto-Electronics established the Radiant Education Foundation in 2016. Through this collaborative platform, the company and its foundation have long been dedicated to promoting education, culture, and the arts. Since 2018, Radiant has partnered with Weiwuying to actively safeguard the city's cultural and artistic hub. Looking back on their years of cooperation—from social education programs and the "Arts-Enterprise-Learning" initiative during Weiwuying's opening, to sponsor popular events like the Vienna New Year's Concert, Radiant has employed a multifaceted approach. By providing resources, encouraging employees and their families to participate, and co-curating cultural events, they have helped art gradually become a part of daily life and a common scene for citizens.

Starting in 2022, the Radiant Education Foundation further invested in the maintenance and care of Weiwuying's public piano, ensuring that this instrument, belonging to everyone in the Banyan Plaza, could continue to be heard. In 2024, the partnership deepened with the launch of the "Dual Piano Partnership Project." In addition to continuing to care for the public piano, the project also supports educational outreach for Asia's largest pipe organ, located in Weiwuying's Concert Hall. By connecting the outdoor plaza with the indoor concert hall, and everyday life with the world of high art, this initiative allows music to flow through different corners of the city, injecting more cultural energy into Kaohsiung.

For their long-term dedication to cultural, artistic, and educational public welfare, Radiant Opto-Electronics and the Radiant Education Foundation have received numerous accolades. These include the Ministry of Culture's Arts & Business Awards for "Annual Creativity Award" and "Corporate Culture Award," as well as the Ministry of Education's "Arts Education Contribution Award - Outstanding Group." These honors demonstrate the tangible results of public-private partnerships and the promotion of cultural equality.

In the future, Radiant Opto-Electronics will continue to work with the Radiant Education Foundation to illuminate the city's cultural landscape with the company's "light." They will also deepen the "Dual Piano Project" with Weiwuying, letting the public piano become the gentlest sound in daily life and the pipe organ play magnificent chapters in the halls of art. Together, they will compose more moving movements for Kaohsiung, this cultural oasis.
