On February 26, the Kaohsiung-Pingtung Branch of the Industrial Parks Administration under Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs hosted a workplace charity event themed “Donate Blood Sustainably, Share Life” at the Kaohsiung Qianzhen Technology Industrial Park. The event brought together 14 enterprises within the park, with professional support from a regional blood donation center. More than 250 donors participated, successfully collecting nearly 85,000 c.c. of blood. The initiative demonstrated the positive energy of the workplace community and a strong commitment to corporate citizenship.

Secretary Lin Kun-mu of the Kaohsiung-Pingtung Branch remarked, “We are not only colleagues at work, but also guardians of life. Every bag of donated blood represents a concrete fulfillment of our social responsibility. By joining forces to promote blood donation, enterprises take an important step toward achieving ESG and SDGs goals.” Secretary Lin personally presented appreciation trophies to participating organizations in recognition of their strong support.

The event integrated resources from 14 park-based enterprises, including Radiant Opto-Electronics, Taiflex, Alltop Technology, Mitsui, Nitto Denko, CTS Components Taiwan, Walton Advanced Engineering, STL Technology, Kaohsiung Opto-Electronics, Walsin Technology Corporation, Taiwan IC Packaging Corporation, Tong Ai Association, Min-Sheng Hospital, and Taiwan Sugar Corporation’s Kaohsiung Branch. Three mobile blood donation vehicles were stationed onsite to serve employees and members of the public. A real-time “queue status inquiry” system was also implemented to shorten waiting times and enhance participation. Long lines formed throughout the day, reflecting the enthusiasm and collective spirit of the park’s workforce.

Beyond the blood donation drive, the event featured six joint outreach booths providing comprehensive health and legal education. Participating units included the Environmental Safety and Labor Division of the Kaohsiung-Pingtung Branch (gender equality advocacy), the Ethics Office (integrity and anti-corruption education), Min-Sheng Hospital (HIV/AIDS prevention), the Qianzhen District Health Center (health literacy and chronic disease prevention), the Kaohsiung City Drug Prevention Bureau (anti-drug awareness), and the Industrial Park Police Unit (anti-fraud education). Together, these efforts promoted a safer, healthier, and more positive workplace environment.

The Kaohsiung-Pingtung Branch emphasized that this blood donation campaign not only delivered vital support to medical blood supplies but also strengthened employees’ engagement with broader social issues. The industrial park will continue organizing similar public welfare initiatives in the future, linking corporate goodwill and extending workplace impact to society at large.
