- Illuminating Infinite Possibilities – Radiant Opto-Electronics Stands as the Warmest Support Behind Art and Culture
This is a story shaped by the perfect convergence of circumstances. Since 2019, Radiant Opto-Electronics has collaborated with the Kaohsiung Museum of History to support traditional Taiwanese shadow puppetry through both hardware and software innovation. By leveraging its expertise in optoelectronics, Radiant developed a new lighting system used in the 2024 interdisciplinary production The Path of Light, part of the Spring Art Festival—offering the public a renewed opportunity to rediscover Taiwan’s shadow puppetry tradition.
This magical journey of collaboration led us, through The Path of Light, to meet the key members behind the “Light and Shadow Together – Shadow Puppetry Education and Promotion Project,” including Director Yuan-Yuan and Specialist Chi-Yun. Through them, we connected with many cross-disciplinary partners. When Kaohsiung’s local modern theater troupe Shine Zone Theatre finally found a rehearsal space in the city, they immediately thought of Radiant—the company that once lit up a lantern for shadow puppetry. Following an on-site evaluation by Radiant’s Lighting Products Division, the team applied their optical expertise to provide gentle and comfortable lighting to the space. This thoughtful illumination now supports a creative environment where storytelling and local culture continue to thrive through performance training and theatrical education.
Radiant Opto-Electronics quietly brings light to every corner of the city.
This time, we’ve illuminated a resonant landmark in Kaohsiung—Shine Zone Theatre.
