Enterprises are rushing to develop digital and net-zero transformation technologies, and the demand for energy conservation and carbon reduction continues to ferment. AU Optronics' AU Optronics subsidiary AU Optronics is committed to providing enterprises with comprehensive green manufacturing transformation services in terms of carbon emissions and water resources management, energy-saving technology and resource recycling. On July 19, it joined hands with Bureau Veritas, Tiantai Energy and Qiuyu Innovation The "AUO Net-Zero Transformation Seminar" was held with the theme of "Driving Enterprise Transformation Opportunities and Moving towards a Net-Zero Sustainable Future". Through case sharing, it discussed how Taiwanese companies and renewable energy players are facing net-zero from the verification end. , the difficulties and challenges of green transformation to help companies achieve their sustainable net-zero goals.

In order to accelerate the vision of net-zero transformation in the manufacturing industry, the seminar gathered governments, private enterprises and other units to share the results and exchanges of sustainable carbon reduction in the industry. You Shuhui, director of the Gaoping Branch of the Industrial Park Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, attended the event and said in his opening speech: "The government actively cooperates with industry, academia and research institutions to help enterprises move from "carbon awareness" to "carbon reduction", and will take further steps in the future. "Zero Carbon". The Gaoping Branch of the Park Management Bureau assists a total of 5 science and technology industrial parks and 12 industrial parks in Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County and Taitung County to promote net-zero carbon emission related plans, and continues to cooperate with academic and research institutions to help enterprises overcome difficulties, reduce the risks of transformation, and accelerate the pace of net-zero transformation to achieve the important goal of the industry becoming internationally competitive in the green economy market in the future."

AU Optronics shared the self-developed ACA carbon management platform "Organizing Carbon Inventory" at the seminar. Module" and "Product Carbon Footprint Module", and the expanded application of the "EU CBAM" tool to facilitate the corresponding reporting of output and help regulated companies submit reports more easily and quickly; in addition, from the perspective of energy management, share the results of the inventory How to improve the benefits of energy-saving optimization to quickly recover investment costs; and "net-zero smart buildings" in the new era of low-carbon smarts; and the newly developed "zero energy consumption environmental odor suppression solution" that can improve water quality Combat environmental odors, create a friendly environment, and provide specific solutions for enterprises to initiate low-carbon transformation.

The focus dialogue at the end of the seminar brought the seminar to a climax. Li Xiaozhong, chairman of AUO Optoelectronics, hosted and communicated. Among them, Zhang Wenxiang, senior vice president of Radiant Opto-Electronics, mentioned how enterprises can reduce carbon externally. Implementing low-carbon transformation and cultivating sustainable talents under pressure, Chen Kunhong, chairman of Ruihe Holdings and Tiantai Energy, shared strategies and solutions for renewable energy power purchase, General Manager of Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Inspection Division Taiwan Branch Manager Huang Zimian explained the necessary conditions and precautions for using digital tools to perform carbon inventory verification, and communicated the direction of carbon emission monitoring and energy management to the public.

The 2050 net-zero commitment has become a national policy, and southern Taiwan is a manufacturing center with an output value accounting for about one-third of Taiwan's total. AU Optronics shared more than ten years of net-zero transformation experience and technology through this seminar, hoping that It can help Taiwan’s industries accelerate the achievement of net-zero goals.
