Building a Healthy Workforce and Workplace
"Employee Care, Social Care" is the core of Radiant Opto-Electronics’ workplace health promotion strategy. The Company has established a multifaceted mechanism encompassing health management, special protection, and health promotion to ensure the implementation of health checks, risk management tracking, and mitigation actions.
Our medical office provides comprehensive health care services to employees, organizing health examinations annually at a frequency surpassing regulatory requirements. Employees stationed overseas are also arranged to undergo health checks at local hospitals. In addition to on-site medical consultations, Radiant Opto-Electronics provides advanced body composition analyzers, blood pressure monitoring services, and regularly collaborates with local health centers to organize cancer screenings, vaccination programs, weight management and smoking cessation classes. Professional trainers are also invited to lead physical fitness and aerobic exercise sessions. Through these comprehensive workplace health promotion efforts, the Company has been recognized with the “Accredited Healthy Workplace” and “Safe Space Certification” by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
In 2024, a total of 3,426 individuals participated in 97 various types of health promotion activities across the organization, with over 11,426 individuals having participated in related activities over recent years.
Special Protection
Radiant Opto-Electronics Corporation has established a health protection plan to address potential physical, chemical, human-induced, ionizing radiation, and other hazards that may affect our employees, as well as special care for employees in maternity. The Corporation establishes a health protection plan, conducts hazard assessments, classifies management, and implements measures to improve the work environment improvement and prevent hazards. The factory doctor monthly visits the factory to assess the work-site. During these visits, the doctor also conducts seminars on preventing occupational diseases, provides consultation on occupational injuries and diseases, and manages health checks for employees engaged in special health hazard operations. No employees suffered from occupational injuries or illnesses from 2023 to 2024.
In accordance with the "Regulations of the Labor Health Protection," employees at the Kaohsiung plant engaged in operations with specific health hazards receive special physical examinations upon hiring or job reassignment, as well as annual specialized health checkups. In 2024, the completion rate of these examinations reached 100%. Similarly, the Mainland China plants arrange occupational disease prevention checkups for employees in high-risk positions. For those engaged in shift work, night shifts, long working hours, or other abnormal workloads, the Company has implemented a “Prevention of overwork-related illness,” which includes risk assessment, tiered management, and one-on-one follow-up measures to prevent the onset of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
