Trade Secret Laws and Regulations

As a global leader in optical services, Radiant Opto-Electronics views the value and protection of confidential information as a key factor in strengthening its competitive advantage. The Company continues to enhance its vigilance in data protection, committed to reducing the risk of information leakage.  Radiant Opto-Electronics, in accordance with the Trade Secrets Act, has established the Confidential Information Management Measures to effectively protect its confidential data. The Company strikes a balance between "strict protection" and "paperless management", systematically managing information on a regular basis to reduce labor costs and improve control effectiveness. As of 2025, no related cases have occurred.

 

In terms of information security, all terminal devices accessing the Company's premises are subjected to the Information Technology Department's network access control system, which identifies internal network devices and blocks unidentified external devices. This proactive, real-time, and automated detection of abnormal events within the Company's network guarantees the security of confidential data. In 2025, Radiant Opto-Electronics did not receive any complaints regarding the protection of confidential information, nor were there any incidents of confidential data leakage.


Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy

Radiant Opto-Electronics placed great importance on the privacy rights of all stakeholders, including users of products or services, customers, suppliers, contractor employees, job applicants, visitors, website viewers, and the Company’s employees. The Company collected and used personal data only to the extent necessary and strictly processed such data in accordance with the specific purposes set forth in its privacy policy. During the 2025 fiscal year, there were no incidents of use for purposes other than those specified; the proportion of such unauthorized uses was 0%.

 

Radiant Opto-Electronics established a comprehensive personal data management system that clearly defined the methods for collecting personal data, categories of data, the purposes of collection and use and their lawful bases, processing methods, the parties to whom personal data might be disclosed or shared, data retention periods and mechanisms for destruction upon expiration, and channels for data subjects to exercise their rights in accordance with the law. At the same time, the organization ensured the security and regulatory compliance of personal data during its collection, processing, and use through information security management measures and internal communication mechanisms. No complaints or penalties related to the use of personal data were received in 2025.

 

To continuously strengthen personal data and privacy protection, Radiant Opto-Electronics annually conducted personal data protection training and self-assessments and established an incident reporting procedure to continuously strengthen the organization's governance of privacy protection. In 2025, all incumbent employees, new hires, and reinstated personnel at the Kaohsiung plant were required to complete personal data protection training. A total of 1,004 individuals completed the training during the year, representing a 100% completion rate and ensuring that all personnel collectively fulfilled their responsibilities for personal data and privacy protection.
