- Where there is light, there is the power of the heart. Radiant Education Foundation uses a gentle glow to accompany children with ADHD, helping them discover the momentum for growth
The Radiant Education Foundation recently held the 4th Radiant Spark Scholarship Award Ceremony. This year, we invited Dr. Chen Jin-Hong from the Taiwan Heartfelt Family Association for Children and Adolescents to share valuable insights on ADHD. During the ceremony, a special award was presented to Kaohsiung City Kaixuan Elementary School, recognizing the school’s dedication to helping students overcome challenges, discover their potential, and providing warm support, allowing children to feel respect and care. The event also provided an opportunity for the school’s special education team to share their experiences with parents and caregivers in attending to children’s needs.
The purpose of the Radiant Spark Scholarship is to continuously accompany children with ADHD, helping them build self-confidence and move towards their own potential and progress. On the day of the ceremony, many touching and heartwarming stories unfolded, and we sincerely thank the Radiant volunteers who stood with us, making this chilly weekend a warm and emotional one.
Every year, our judging panel includes Dr. Chen Jin-Hong, Chairman of the Heartfelt Association, along with a team of medical professionals and psychologists, as well as professors from the Special Education Departments of Pingtung University and Tainan University, and Li Bingxuan, a teacher from the Self-Made Learners Association. The goal is to identify unpolished gems and, through the awards ceremony, encourage children to value their individuality, respect the diversity of development with their parents, and foster continuity in moving toward their personal highlights.
Since 2018, the foundation has launched ADHD parenting seminars through the Radiant Hope Lectures, involving local efforts to provide community support. In 2019, Radiant combined Family Day with parent-child activities. By 2024, we had hosted 24 parenting seminars and events, with over 2,400 children, parents, teachers, and professionals participating. Radiant and the Heartfelt Association are committed to protecting and supporting children with ADHD through practical action, aiming to create a shared learning platform and a more friendly educational environment for these children. Accompanying ADHD children is like running a marathon of life; although Radiant cannot be there for the entire journey, we are grateful to walk part of the way together.
