We would like to thank the Kaohsiung Municipal Museum of History for taking on the challenge and supporting ROE's innovative and imaginative ideas, so that the outline of the "Five-Year Plan for Shadow Puppet Education and Promotion" gradually became clear and implemented in a more contextual and systematic manner, which not only allowed ROE to use its own value-added art and cultural industry to exert its influence in different aspects, but also found a new opportunity for the long-lasting inheritance of local intangible cultural assets.ROE and ROE Education Foundation hope to cultivate more art and cultural population in the southern land, and promote the spirit of art and culture through the three aspects of passing on the old, supporting the new, and pregnant with literacy through "Art in the South".
Among them, the highlight of the old is the "Light and Shadow Walk - Shadow Puppet Education and Promotion Project", which opens a new chapter for the inheritance of "shadow puppetry", an intangible cultural asset, in a parallel way of "software and hardware". On the software side, we promote new scripts that incorporate local elements in Kaohsiung, hoping to resonate with the public and enhance their willingness to appreciate shadow puppetry. In terms of hardware, it is through enterprise research and development to professionally improve the current situation of shadow puppet lamps and lanterns "overheating, energy consumption, inconvenient to carry and single color", so that the drama genre can strengthen its promotion efforts and enable the culture to be passed on sustainably.
ROE hopes to uphold the concept of deep cultivation in the ground and starting from the roots to build a positive cycle of art and cultural ecology, and hopes to bloom the flower of art and cultural literacy in the south. It is an honor to be affirmed by the 15th "Arts & Business Awards" of the Ministry of Culture. In the southern tip of Taiwan, ROE Optoelectronics and ROE Education Foundation continue to silently protect the local intangible cultural assets and support potential art and cultural teams, promote art and cultural literacy from the inside out, and look forward to cultivating the local art and cultural population in the south, tearing off the label of cultural desert for Kaohsiung, and giving birth to the flower of art and culture.
