To celebrate the 25th anniversary, ROE held the family day event entitled "ROE Family Carnival”on November 29, 2020. More than 1,800 employees and their family members as well as children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and their parents were having fun at the event. As the operations of ROE in the first three quarters of 2020 were better than expected amid the global pandemic, Chairman Pen‑Jan Wang delivered a speech, announcing that the company would provide a special bonus of NT$10,000 to each employee as a token of appreciation for the concerted efforts of all employees of ROE, while mentioning that he current operating performance of ROE was the outcome of all employees’ collective efforts.

We held a series of departmental team competitions at the Hongmaogang Elementary School in the morning of the Family Day for team building and bonding. In the afternoon, we held a game at the Taroko Park to for participants to defeat challenges. We particularly invited ADHD children and their parents to join the game and to have fun together. The Radiant Education Foundation has focused on ADHD issues since 2017, and has taken actions to organize the "ROE Hope Lectures" series of parent-child issues and activities step by step. So far, we have held seven parent-child lectures and four parent-child activities with over 900 participants; meanwhile, we have invited ADHD children and their parents to participate in the Family Day together for two consecutive years. On the other hand, we invited our art and cultural partners: Kaohsiung Museum of Shadow Puppet and the Radiant Light and Shadow to set up the stages of the game at the Taroko Park. As such, our employees and their family members could experience the shadow play skills, and bring home their homemade shadow puppets, thereby preserving the intangible cultural assets of Kaohsiung and demonstrating the spirit of corporate devotion to public welfare, culture, and art, and showing the diversity and flexibility of corporate social responsibility (CSR).

ROE takes "environmental coexistence, society prosperity, and the common good" as its sustainable development vision. We participated in the indicative Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA) this year, and was honored to win the three awards of the Corporate Sustainability Awards, the Social Inclusion Award in the Best Performance of Specific Categories, and the Gold Award of the Corporate Sustainability Report Awards in IT and IC Manufacturing. Through the fulfillment of the corporate social responsibility and the influence of business operations, all colleagues of ROE have joined hands to complete the glorious 25-year journey. We will adhere to the company’s business philosophy and work together to get through the ups and downs to pursue stable development, thereby reaching a new peak while giving back to society in the future.
